Frequently asked questions

How much does a translation from German into English cost?

Translations are calculated per source word and the costs are clarified beforehand. For translations from German into English, we charge £0.099 for the BASIC quality level and £0.12 per word for the standard-compliant PRO quality level. More information is available at Prices.

How much does certification cost?

Certifications are charged separately to the translation per page or document – whichever works out cheaper for you. We charge £5.80 per page or a flat rate of £13.50 per document in case of multiple pages. The costs depend on whether you require certification of a simple translated text or translated certificates.

How much do translations cost at the Easytrans24.com translation agency?

We charge for translations on a per word basis. The total cost for translation depends on the language combination, the target language, the specialist area chosen and total number of words. Our word prices start at £0.087/word. Unlike other translation service providers, our agency offers extremely attractive word rates.

How long does it take to receive a quote?

After submitting your enquiry, you will receive a quote via email within 30 minutes on weekdays between 8 am and 5 pm. Enquiries after 5 pm or on weekends and bank holidays will be processed the next working day. Translations can also be produced outside of these hours and at weekends if required.

Is the layout preserved in text translations?

For all original, editable documents, the layout and formatting is respected in the translation. This includes the font, font colour, bold text and general document layout. This is not possible as standard for PDF documents. However, our DTP service and foreign-language typesetting service offers professional PDF reproductions no matter the layout. The reproduction is performed manually by an experienced professional.

Are there different types of translation?

In addition to pure text translation, the Easytrans24.com translation agency also offers localisation of texts for the target market. As an agency, this means that we adapt the text to local conditions including trends in the corresponding target market. This results in translations being translated more freely, as though they were written by a marketer in that country.

What is the difference between native language and target language?

Native language is the language that the translator grew up speaking and completed their studies in. The target language is the language the text is to be translated into, and forms the counterpart to the source language. Our translators always translate into their native language. Only certified translations are an exception here and may also be undertaken by non-native speakers.

How long does it take to translate a text?

Translators typically translate around 2,000 to 3,000 words per day, which corresponds to around 5-8 sides of DIN A4.

Are translations into multiple languages possible at the same time?

We translate into all global languages and since translations are carried out by individual translators, we can work on these translations in parallel and theoretically deliver all translations at the same time.

Do expert translations take longer than normal translations?

It makes no difference as to whether a simple/general text is being translated or whether it is an expert translation in a particularly demanding subject area.
